2019 Angelo State University Summer Code Camp Registration Now Open!

2018 ASU Code Camp - Student's Working on Computer Science Projects

 

Angelo State University Department of Computer Science will be holding their annual ASU Code Camp for junior high and high school students on June 17th-21st, 2019. The camp will be hosted at ASU campus in the Mathematics-Computer Science (MCS) Building at 2200 Dena Drive. The five-day camp will run from 8:30-11:30 a.m. each day, and will directed by Dr. William Wolfe, professor of computer science. The camp is open for up to 100 students interested in coding and computer science.  Registration is now open!

About the Camp

The camp participants will have the opportunity to learn design, implement and test computer code using the Java programming language and the Unity 3D Game Engine. They will also be taught the basics of computer science as they work individually and in groups to implement various applications. No experience is required, but basic keyboarding skills are necessary. Students who have attend the program in the past or have prior programming experience will have the opportunity to to work on more advanced projects.
